2-1-1 is now available to refer Delawareans to appropriate health and human service providers who can assist with a wide range of non-emergency issues.
The 2-1-1 service links callers to service providers who can assist with such issues as:
- rent assistance
- food banks
- affordable housing
- health resources
- mental health resources
- child care
- after-school programs
- care for senior citizens
- financial assistance
- legal assistance
- job training programs
- and much more.
The 2-1-1 service is offered by the Delaware Helpline with support from United Way of Delaware, the State of Delaware, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which is administered by First State Community Action.
The 2-1-1 service is a natural outgrowth of the Delaware Helpline information and referral service, which has been in operation since 1996.
2-1-1 staff is bilingual and can help callers in English or Spanish, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
